Does not seem to use much power and switches off when not in use. It performs very well and problems, should there be any, can be fixed over the internet. Most importantly, it is not cabled.

The Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse is a great inexpensive mouse, very positive and does evrything it says on the box.
