Fatman ITube Carbon II

Looks great. Fairly compact.

No mid range. I know it is analogue but people agree that it sounds muddy even with a new pair of speakers...

This is unlike any other iPod/iPhone dock. I am not an expert audiophile and don't really understand terms like "treble balance ", " high end " etc etc but I do know that when playing music from my iPhone this baby sounds incredible. It sounds crystal...

No headphone socket ! Not sure why this is . There's no point of reference to adjust the sound levels, ie it's all done from a +/- buttons on the remote with no indication of your starting point so it has to be adjusted by ear alone.

Looks good, solid build, nice size, comes will all the necessary cables.

The sound for me could be a little better - but then I am comparing it to a very good home system. I have small Diamond Wharfdale speakers attached - okay but will look to upgrade these. The sound is better played through some older spendor speakers....

Excellent, clear sound quality Modern design, clever yet functional enables me to use my Ipod and my turntable

Needs phono amplifier and CD player to mak it fully useful

Some issues with sound when first switched on and moving between tracks. Volume control is the wrong logical way round on the remote

Clarity, depth, strong extended bass, no evident distortion near to max volume, a good solid sound that fills a room at low volume,and is still sweet to listen to at high volume: the true test of a good amp. Stereo imaging bang on too, 1st time...

It's picky but i find the warmth of the valve sound a little fuzzy.
