I use speech recognition software extensively and this head set has moved my accuracy up by quite a bit. This was all typed with speech recognition software. I only had to repeat one word "Mike"

PLANTRONICS .Audio 625 USB Supra-aural Stereo Headset

 

These have a nice sound and good mic. I did find out that when using teamspeak or ventrilo you cannot hook them up through a USB hub because it will effect the sound quality for both the mic and the headset

My work uses these I have brought 4 sets home and I am not very rough on them just average use but they break all the time. I am on my 4th set of these in less than a year and the mic is already shot in it

Worth it for the USB adapter

 

I used the USB adapter with a nice pair of headphones I had for the perfect combination! (The headphone port on my notebook doesn't work correctly.)
