SVP FS1000 Film Scanner

A piece of the scanner broke off the first time I used it. The software stalls continuously making you close the program.

It takes some practice, but the end product is good quality. Note: you need to open the box to manually adjust the lighting and then take each slide on a case-by-base basis.

The scanner worked perfectly, actually better than expected. The cost was well worth it to save my slides and put on computer. I would reccommend highly!

The unit (and software) worked well (brightness override was a little cumbersome) and did the job until about the 600th slide. An internal spring that controls positioning, and the green "go" LED, broke. I could still use it but it took longer to...

The quality of the scan is very poor. There is way too much loss of detail to make this a good option to convert negs or slides to digital.
