Great Resolution, Far From Automated

 

I bought the Nikon Coolscan 4000 ED about a year ago to archive my family slides (~1,500 of them). Overall, I have been very pleased with its capabilities, especially when used with Ed Hamrick's Vuescan software.

Batch Slide Scanning ; Digital ICE removes dust ; Firewire interface (card included)

Kodachrome, B/W get no Digital ICE ; Software interface unintuitive ; Slides often jam in feeder
