Adesso NuScan 1000U Bar Code Reader

This is supposed to be a plug and play, but we could not get it to connect to our system and then could not get any tech support from the company. We left messages and e-mails, but no one ever got in touch with us.

This scanner never did work. Getting in touch with support at Adesso was impossible. I'd choose any other brand before purchasing a scanner from Adesso.

Manuel isn't helpful and Technical Support never calls back. Says is easy to get going, but it took us a week to get it configured. Spent to many hours trying to get it to start to work. After many wrong doings we finally got it going. Still no help...

On my system this was not a "Plug-and-Play" USB product (that's the version I bought). I read the startup guide included with the product before I plugged it in [yes, some guys actually do that :-) ] and found no mention of any special connection...
