yup, dvd tray lid broke with one gentle push, remote wouldnt do anything to help. we have the cars tv and its too bad product testing on this didnt stop it from reaching shelves. good idea but bad tray design for kids! looks like the barbie dvd player...

The remote never worked actually came with a screw missing, well not exactly missing, it was floating around inside the remote. Now it will not let me play a move because of parental control, for a G rated dvd

No problems with the door but it never went to the movie menu, just kept spinning the disc no matter what disc was in it.

On the first night using the player, the hood would not close. This wouldn't allow me to use the player. I will be sending it back tomorrow. After reading the reviews, ToysRus should stop selling this item or fix the problem.

not very well made

This was incredibly easy to set up. It offers great picture quality and because of it's funky look fits in very well in any childs room. There is most definately a nack to closing the the lid but it is not rocket science and just adds to the charm.
