The price and quality of this lense makes it an excellent deal. While it is not up to Canon's L series, it is still a great choice that surpasses Canon's other lenses. The wide angle and 2.8 f-stop make this lense suitable for most shoots.

Build quality is much better than the previous version. Good IQ in all focal length range, much better than Canon 17-40 L lens. Good and unbelievably fast autofocus.
