This has to be the sharpest Nikon lens I've ever owned, but why is it so expensive. The price seems to have rocketed over the last two years, way above inflation. Focus hold buttons could be further back and easier to reach

Superb 300 F2.8

 

Simply the sharpest 300mm lens on the market. Stunning sharpness and build quality. I've been using mine with a 1.7x convertor and its still pin sharp. Not so good with the 2x though.

300mm 2.8VR

 

This is a super lens. Crystal sharp images. I use it for bird photography and find it superb. Fairly heavy to carry around unless you use a rucsack, but well worth it. Glad I bought it, my photography has entered a new dimension.

Nikon 300mm f2.8 VR

 

Having owned this lens for over a year now I can honestly say its the best lens in its class. Image and build quality is just awesome and the VR works a treat when using shutter speeds of 1/250th or less.
