The shift and tilt feature makes shifting the plane of focus a easy.

A trifle old now and probably needs to be updated to reflect other Canon lens

An excellent tilt and shift lens for pro or enthusiastic amateurs. Allows fantastic architectural shots without converging verticals, and also adds (literally) a new dimension of artistic control. As with most of the Canon lenses, the build quality is...

Tilt and shift lenses are slightly more difficult to use than conventional lenses and require detailed set up to get the best results. Image quality of this lens when tilts and shifts are removed is not quite as good as an equivalent prime lens.
