It doesn't need to be defrosted that often. The drawers are robust and don't become brittle with age.

The freezer shelf at the top which is not a draw one would benefit from being deeper and the deep draw from not being so deep, since when it's full it's really heavy!

I thought that when the facts about the freezer stated that there are 6 drawers it meant full size. Not five and a half!

Well made, quiet, looks ok, and works fine so far

Freezer was bought online, unseen, to match other Bosch products and hopefully provide more capacity. However, the usable internal space with the plastic drawers in place seems perhaps less than in the outwardly smaller much older freezer it replaced...
