I order the laptop on Monday and received on Thursday. It came all the way from California to Puerto Rico, not bad considering I am overseas/carribean.

Great computer, this is my third Toshiba Satellite. The old ones are still running with my other family members, this one is my new one. At first it took me a while understanding the new 64bit thing but now is running so fast and secured. I took off...

The mouse pad it can be tricky sometimes. No HDTV plug, but for 600 (on sale) you cant ask for more

Good solid computer

 

Despite the annoyance of the finish and port placement, this is a great computer.

This is a solid computer. Firewire and eSata are a definite plus. The screen is very nice. The sound is second to none (in laptops). The specs are competitive (4GB of ram, 2 GHz Core 2 Duo, 320 GB HDD)

Placement of ports are a personal preference. For me, they were in the worst places possible ; Disliked having the power on the side (prefer rear of laptop) ; Disliked having headphone jack in the front--so much that I bought a sound card (ExpressCard)...

Great Laptop for the price

 

I looked long and hard before deciding on this computer. The current line of Toshiba computers offers a good mix of features, value, and performance. At the current Newegg.com price, this computer is an excellent deal.

Quality screen, keyboard, and speakers

Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. One side note, if you want to install XP on this, you have to use a tool called Mobillity Modder to install your ati Drivers. Other than that, it should be pretty simple.

great laptop for the money!

 

Great toshiba softwares and shortkeys to change settings such as power management plan, zoom, silent mode for DVD drive, mute on/off, and webcam just with several buttons or clicks. The laptop works and runs great it doesn't get hot as ATI processors....

A little on the heavy side ; Media control buttons don't work with iTunes or maybe I have to find out how to do the settings ; The laptop doesn't have HD output or S-video but this is not a con, you never use these ports anyway
