A good choice for traveling businesspeople, the ThinkPad X41 is as fast as it is safe and secure--but it's a little heavier than its predecessor and it's expensive.

Light and thin design; comfortable keyboard; fingerprint reader; dedicated security hardware; includes multimedia dock; excellent battery life.

Expensive; heavier than the ThinkPad X40; pedestrian 4,200rpm hard drive.
