I've had this laptop for a while now, and I've never experienced a problem with it. Of course I've replaced the OS with Windows 7 Professional and updated the BIOS, but that's about it. It still runs as fast as it did when I got it

This is NOT, I repeat NOT in ANY WAY a gaming laptop, nor will it ever be. I dislike that because I can't even play games on low settings. I would like to have the option to play casual games every now and then

Good, basic laptop. Excellent build quality and features at this price point

Be sure to shop around. I've seen a range of almost $200 between high and low on this model. Also, it doesn't come with either an operating system CD or set of restore discs, but you can (and should) make a set of your own set (mine took three 4.3GB DVDs)

when i got this thing it was cheap, dual-core from intel, WiFi ready, ok size HDD, with DVD-RW it's everything for me schooling. yeah i said SCHOOLING! please see OTHER THOUGHTS

Doesnt come witn Restore discs, there is a portion of the hard drive that is allocated to hold recovery data and you push F11 on bootup to go into it, so the 160GB is actually about 130, unless you format it, but then you still need Vista install discs...
