good machine for the price!

 

im super happy with my purchase so far.

latest technoligy for a pretty good price, builting cam & mic, lite scribe, vista, tons of internal space for multipal programs. its pretty fast! light weight compared to my other laptop (hp pavillion)

The reason that this device only shows 3.25 GB of 4 GB of ram is because of the size of an integer in a 32 bit operating system only allows memory arrays of 4GB total. Because Windows uses a pagefile, that gets deducted from the available system...

A lot of laptop for the price.

 

OK, many lappy's are coming with 3gb of memory. This is a 1gb stick and 2gb stick. This disables dual channel memory on this Compaq. When I added a 2gb stick and pulled the 1 gigger.....POW, dual channel shows per CPU-Z (search Google - good app). Why...

Quility chassis and nice, big screen. Good specs for the price. I love a 17" WS, but I don't carry my laptop around

4gb of memory makes more sense....see below
