So Far So Good

 

This is not a computer that I would buy for myself. It is big and Heavy, but it is what my father wanted. I will have to do some more testing on it.

Worked right out of the box. Battery Charged. Took all updates

Took three hours and six DVD's to back it up. Lots of useless preloaded software

Works as expected

 

It does what it is supposed to. Video is capable of playing DVD's, and handles the aero graphics fine. Works smoothly

Plan on spending the first hour of using this machine watching Asus do all its final setup steps, and watching windows setup the desktop. Then after that, unload all the bloatware! After a quick defrag, its an impressive machine

Ligtweight yet sturdy, fast, great screen, does not suffer from heating up after long use, comfortable light keyboard. Ideal for business use and entertainment, light enough for travel yet ideal desktop replacement, a great all rounder.

Problems with WiFI, seems to be a Windows 7 (Home 64 bit) problem rather than the Atheros WiFi unit, works everytime on LAN connection to router at home or work LAN.
