I got mine 4 days ago, and as stated a few times, there is an occasional issue with the keys not responding, just have to retype occasionally. The only true knock on this product I have is no UI to program the keys to do what you want them to do. other...

Gear Head 5500

 

For the price and if you want something different, I recomend to by it.

Very nice design. Slim, small, easy to work with away from the desk. Larger letters on keyboard helps those who have reading glasses. Downloaded sotware from GearHead has keyboard and mouse setup combo software

USB dongle is not very good. I had to put a USB extension cord to get it under the monitor. It works perfect now

Very poor quality

 

Terrible performance--hard to position mouse, mouse clicks only work sometimes, key repeats so much that it is useless.

Nice Combo with So So Range

 

Mouse has better range than keyboard. Used with HTPC from easy chair across room. Must hold keyboard at unusual angles to get input to be accepted which is funny since connection is by RF.

Sleek ; Nice tactile feel ; Good battery life

Wireless range is fair at best. I can't get more than 20 feet

Failed after 35 days

 

Gearhead offers a lifetime waranty, however you have to return it to them at your cost -- not worth the bother -- purchased a logitech to replace this one

The keyboard unexpectedly died. Despite placing new batteries (10 to be exact) it never resurrect! From what another reviewer wrote this may be a common flaw.

Very nice looking keyboard. Very slim with a decent range. USB receiver is small and discreet. Really good battery life on keyboard... I use it every day and have only changed the batteries in it once in a few months

No way to customize any of the media buttons on the keyboard. Construction seems some what flimsy but I have yet to have my break (knock on wood!)
