Not elegant but does the job

 

This lock is a good idea in theory. I practice, at the very least it provides the equivalent security that any Kensington-slot based cable would provide, which is to say it's fine as a deterrent for opportunity thieves. It's much better than using...

The only cable lock solution available (that I could find) for MacBook Air or MacBook Pro with Retina display ; Includes velcro ties and good quality carrying pouch for storage / transport ; Includes adapter for use with standard Kensington slot devices

More tedious to setup than standard Kensington slot lock (although Apple bears the brunt of the blame here) ; Will require most people to use tools to fit the metal plate to their laptop hinge mechanism ; Will cause nicks and scratches to the laptop...
