JVC Everio GZ-HM440

For the price the picture quality is better than expected. For the money I can't really fault it.

Some of the controls are a little difficult to use because of the size.

Small, light, easy to use with great video quality.

You can hear the camera on the playback sometimes.

Light weight. Good results with default settings. Good battery life. Dual SD card slots are a bonus,

Almost too small. Hard to stop video recording using thumb without shaking the camera due to difficulty in reaching start-stop button. Would be nice if camera came with mini-HDMI to HDMI adaptor or a suitable cable.
