Polk Atrium 4 review

 

Polk Atrium 4 set the standard for wired outdoor speakers with a wide, balanced sound for under $200.

Large, crisp soundstage ; Rugged ; Relatively small size

So-so bass

sound nearly as good and only cost about $100. They are slightly bigger, though. And if price and size are no issue, the Klipsch AW-650 will produce better bass. But for the price, the Atrium 4 can’t be beat.

Own. Love.

 

These speakers punch well above their weight class. For < three figures, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. The only real down is that one dropped from a modest height onto a wood floor. From this, the woofer cage bent, and the driver no longer...

Small, great, surprisingly good sound

Great sound if mounted per instructions

 

Great full range of sound. Saw some negative reviews of Bass quality and thought I would write a long time user review... I've had these mounted for over a year now in a theatre room in our church, work great. Plenty of bass & highs with only a small...

At the time they were only white in color selection...but in Florida, probably the best choice anyway for outdoors

Good Outdoor Speakers

 

Have these mounted outside on lower level of two level deck. The mounting bracket allows for these to be mounted to bottom of upper deck support beam, angled downwards at 45 degrees.

Excellent clarity - I have no distortion problems whatsoever. Mounting brackets provide for multiple mounting options and angels. Speed-Lock Mounting System really simplifies the mounting and adjustment process

Minimal bass response, but that is to be expected from a speaker this size - still sound good. Frivolous label on grill face leaves adhesive that must be cleaned off after label is removed

Great Value

 

I purchased these to be the used as outdoor speakers around the fire pit at my cabin. They were perfect for this application as I didn't want to spend a lot of money and provided decent sound quality.
