Took the plunge

I bring my laptop to school every day...and naturally my backpack gets pretty beat up ... so its nice not having to worry about how you are handing your laptop...i kinda am in the habit of tossing it onto my bed now =)

Fast write/read speeds

Expensive...ssds have yet to mature and i paid dearly for 30 GB...(the actual value comes out to be 28.1GB...a little bit better than the convention loss for a platter based hd)

I like my drives like I like my..

Cheap and fast

Died after just a couple weeks of use. Hopefully I get a better one with the return.

Worked great for 6 days - then died

When it died, the drive name changed from SuperTalent (30GB) to JMicron (4GB) after 6 days and is no longer usable. I've tried it in a couple of machines to no avail. Perhaps the replacement drive will be better. I'm stuck with the product with the 30...

Fast solid state storage

Opinie użytkowników (newegg.com)

Fast and nice, but not matured yet

SSD technology not matured yet; not to mention MLC may be cheaper, but the lower reliability is not worth it. I was able to install an OS, updates, configurate it, and then it I lose 85% of the space as in I lose all my stuff. I think I'll let the...

Faster than HDD, More fault tolerance, Cheaper (compared to SLC SSDs)

Multilevel (MLC) less reliable

Great

I did a clean install of Vista Business x64 bit and had 8gb of space left. Prepare to run most of your programs and anything else off a different drive. With my laptop I just use eSATA.

PRICE(compared to the rest of the Solid State market)

Low space

Fast and Inpensive SATA (MLC)

Maybe the fastest, least expensive, 2.5in SATA SSD drive currently available (changes weekly). The MLC design with fast writes (25MB/sec) is a breakthrough with the competitive price. Planning to keep about 2-3GB free space to improve lifetime under...

Measured 90MB/sec read and 25MB/sec write. XPProSp2 formatted NTFS - CrystalDiskMark2.1 ratings are Seq=94.3(r) 27.9(w), 512k=89.5(r) 25.3(w), 4k=11.3(r) 2.0(w). Very competitive 30GB price at Newegg. The GB/$ ratio on 60GB, 120GB model improves. A...

Multi-Level (MLC) vs Single-Level Cell (SLC) technology. Lower life expectancy (10k vs 100k block write cycles) reflected in 1 year warranty. The MLC fast write speed (25MB/sec) implies dynamic, but no static (not sure), write leveling as trade-off.
