No easy task, but positive results

 

I'll update if my experience changes, but so far it seems that the hard work is worth it.

Drive runs Windows 7 well so far. I use the computer for note-taking in class, and have currently have MS Office, Itunes, Firefox, and Chrome installed

Installing the drive in an Asus EEE PC 1000 is no easy task - you have to take the whole computer apart, pull both drive, install the new drive, and flash the BIOS before it'll recognize the drive. The drive does NOT fit in the place of the 8 gb drive...

Make sure you do not buy this if you think you can just slip it into a WLAN or a WWAN slot and have it work...It will not

It works great in my netbook

 

I purchased this for my Asus 900A netbook. It works great, no complaints here. After installing the drive I installed the latest Windows 7 RC to the computer, no drive lag, good response times
