The MFC-7340 has a number of flaws and missing features that make it problematic for office use. No duplex, no Ethernet and an inadequate paper output tray are its key failures, but it delivers good quality printing and it is cost efficient.

Got this from Newegg @ a steal during a presidents day promo sale. Easy to install and operate I have not had to change the ink or drum yet so I can't really comment on that. The copy and scan feature are above par from my old HP unit I have not used...

laser printer not color but then color adds more to the price unable to print both sides of a document on 1 side of a sheet of paper

document feeder scanner is slow ; scans are not totally straight

Can't figure out why Brother would choose to default the function button to Fax... And photocopying requires pressing at least two buttons. But what this printer is targeted, no complains

Has been running in a small office here for about a year or so now. Work load of probably ~30-40 pages a day, with a few scans thrown in( mostly used for copies and faxes). Still going strong, works like the day we set it up

Has developed a slight occasional squeaking sound when pulling paper through. It may be the toner cartridge, it does not have any noticeable effect other than being a little annoying

Easy to set up, good documentation, every thing in the box. Fuser heats up quickly and is fairly quite during cool down. A lot of nice features. Good price

The line cord sockets for the TAD and Telephone are located above the rear paper discharge door which may put the cords in the way of the item being printed
