I am pleased with my purchase. I have been an HP person forever. I was a little apprehensive. So far So good. I thought the order was seemless from PC Nation.

The printer is well built and professional. It is lightning fast. I print out large volume of legal size paper. It handles the job without effort

Printer works very well, a tad poky in BR-Script mode

 

I like the fact that it can handle 500 sheets of paper. No more 'partial' reams. It is rather large with the 'extra' paper tray attached. Duplex seems to work well, printing was Excellent, especially at 1200 dpi.

It works great with my mac on both network and on the lan. It has two settings, brscript3 and hpgl. Hpgl is faster, but not as pretty as brscript3 (aka postscript). The ppd's seem to work 'out of the box'. I was also impressed in that the unit works...

Doesn't do wpa-2 or wpa, only wep. I just use on the wireless. Its a tad pokey getting the 'first' page out when printing PDF files

Update to my last review (it DOES do WPA2!)

 

On my last review, I didn't' look far enough in the printer configs. it DOes support wpa2 and a whole slew of wireless stuff

The pokeyness was due to a complex pdf that I was printing. "Normal' pdfs are really quick

Until about 5 years ago, HP was always the printer for me. Then their printers failed and customer support was absolutely horrible. Now Brother is my brother, despite the fact that I used to think they were cheaply built and just for PC users--Not!
