However, if you fancy a cheap and cheerful point and hope camera for taking shots on the beach, then the ViviCam 5399 won’t break the bank. Alternatively, spend a little more on your "dry" camera and by a disposable waterproof camera.

Great Little First Camera

 

My 2 and a half year old daughter had seen me taking photographs of her on a regular basis and she became fascinated with my camera. I let her hold my camera and I showed her how it worked, soon she was pointing and clicking at anything and everything....

simple camera, easy to use, upload pics to social networking sites

3 AAA batteries, although it does go on standby after a couple of minutes when not being used

I love my vivitar, paid £15 on ebay, it's been to Hawaii and Portugal with me. It has a video mode as well. Yes the shutter lag is long and lens quality isn't great and there is some distortion, but if you learn to use it's faults and just snap away,...
