With so many set-top boxes vying for your attention you have to ask what's wrong with just setting up a PC under your TV? Think about it for a moment, you get full Windows 7 power, no web limitations or codec problems, and no restrictions as to what...

Slim, quiet, easy to use, comes with keypad/trackpad controller, Blu-ray support

No online store, Clear.fi interface is basic, specialised config means you pay a premium

The Acer Revo 100 looks good, solves the problem of a boring keyboard and mouse in your living room

Acer Revo 100 RL100-U1002

Przez Rich Brown (cnet.com) Przeczytaj całą opinię

There's a lot to like about Acer's updated home theater Nettop, the Revo 100. At $499, this system has an ultraslim design and a unique touch-pad device, all wrapped around a low-power dual-core AMD chip, a Blu-ray player, and a large 750GB hard drive....

The Acer Revo 100 RL100-U1002 boasts a living-room-ready design, a unique touch-pad input device, and capable media features, including a Blu-ray drive, for a fair price

This Nettop is not meant for gaming or general productivity because of a low-power CPU, and we'd feel better about its value if it had a 1TB hard drive

Not everyone wants a living-room computer, but the Acer Revo 100 is one of the better low-cost HTPCs we've seen thanks to a wisely chosen feature set, its attractive design, and a mostly well-conceived input device.

Not everyone will see the value of such a system, and we found that the touch pad is not responsive as we'd like. But for those who still believe in the concept of a home theater PC, the Acer Aspire Revo 100 will provide a fairly well-conceived reward...

Needs more horsepower

Przez oterrya (cnet.com) Przeczytaj całą opinię

This is short of what I would want to add to my living room. Add some more hardware to make it "useable" and I would be willing to even pay more for it. I still would want to add some external storage to enable a larger library of videos.

Nice slim case design, touch pad/keyboard is cool, Blu Ray

Processor is weak and memory is small -- s/b at least 2GHz processor and 6GB of memory. I personally would prefer an Intel processor. The touchpad appears to have issues when used in mouse mode. The qwerty keyboard mode appears a bit cramped. Also sho

User of earlier less powerful Revo.

I own an earlier model with even a less powerful CPU. The point of my review is to say these units work perfectly for the intended purpose of a HTPC. Being able to easily run any PC video on your TV without a lot of setup (WiDi, move a laptop ......

Works great for its intended purpose. This type of unit runs Hulu, Netflix, Boxee, etc. in native PC mode at 720P great

Great Media Center PC

Przez tharrington (cnet.com) Przeczytaj całą opinię

Definitely worth purchasing for it's intended use, as a Media Center computer. Don't even attempt to play 3D games on it.

Small form factor that fits aesthetically with your other media gadgets. This is, in effect, a cleverly redesigned laptop ; Runs Windows Media Center and Boxee quite well. Can run Moovidia, but not in the 3D mode (ION GPU doesn't have the horsepower)

Keyboard will take some getting used to. It's not for typing more than URLs ; DVD drive is the flimsy kind that comes in a laptop ; Be aware that there are TWO versions of the Revo - one with DVD and the other with Blu Ray. All the prices quoted above a
