Graphically stunning, multiplayer can be great fun and works well, huge single player campaign

The first few hours can feel painfully slow, the actual combat feels clunky and repetitive, and the game contains a bewildering range of systems to master. If you don't mind that then Monster Hunter Tri could turn out to be your favourite game of the year

Despite Capcom's best efforts, the Monster Hunter franchise has struggled to gain a foothold with Western gamers, even as their Japanese brethren rabidly devote countless hours to every new release.

My disdain for all that transpired in the PS3 saga aside, the developers did no justice to this beautiful game. I am a hunter from the first PSP release. I have many many hours of game play. I believe to start with, the graphics are horribly washed out...

The game certainly captures the imagination with all new monsters to the series. Sound and music score is what you would also expect from a console game. Fluid animations and real life hunting action are top notch

Totally linear game. graphics are really not good for a console game. Start up time to really get into the game is LONG! Network lag is attrocious and at time almost unplayable. equipment list is inaccessible and very light weight
